One of the most beautiful gardens in England, lovely walks through woods, pretty structural features, and endless flowers.

Beautiful spot, a really lovely garden to walk around. Would definitely go back. 5 stars for the garden, 3.5 for the food.
We went to the cafe, only a few vegan options, I have a very nice pea soup, the bread though was very dry. Husband had beetroot falafel salad and he was sure they were cauldron (brand) ones, not freshly made. Overall though, nice spot for lunch, good service and fairly priced

Friends have recently moved to Somerset and found this gem. They have joined so we got half price entry! There are so many delights to find along the well-kept trails and the formal gardens are absolutely stunning. We were very lucky with the weather as it was a beautiful sunny day. There's not an awful lot to see in the house, but it was obviously grand in it's day. The gardens are most certainly the highlight. Stunning views across the county.

Gardens are beautiful. Lovely walk. The house was lacking furniture. The rooms are empty due to it being turned into a gallery but there was no paintings. Very friendly

Would have been 5 stars as the place is beautiful and I love that the walk round has bits to see everywhere, keeps it interesting. All staff at reception were super friendly and helpful. My only criticism and hopefully its constructive is the cafe. It was our first visit, so no idea how it works. We were given menus and asked to be seated and "someone will come and take your order" After 10/15 mins no-one came so I went back inside to place our order to then also be told what wasn't available. Would have been helpful to be told "please come back inside and order and be aware these items are no longer available/sold out." Would have taken a lot less time. Other than that the visit was amazing and I joined as a member. Thank you.

Hestercombe is magical - I can't think of any other way to describe it. The grounds are wonderful - the gardens designed by Gertrude Jekyll are stunning at the moment. The air is filled with the scent of Wisteria which has the largest and most prolific blooms that I've ever seen. The woodland Estate is full of Bluebells, cow parsley, wood violets, birds singing and so many shades of fresh green of glorious trees. A place of joy and calm 😍😍

Stunning garden and landscaped estate. It is up a hill, but the walk to the top gives you wonderful views over the Vale of Taunton. There is a great restaurant, which serves lunch as well as tea and cakes.

Absolutely beautiful place with lots to look at. Plenty of benches and seats to take a rest and take in the amazing views. We were very lucky and had a Gardeners world 2 for 1 ticket, but it would still have been worth the full price. I'd highly recommend it.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Hestercombe House & Gardens to attend a wedding in the Orangery, and I was thoroughly impressed by the experience. The ceremony venue was absolutely stunning, providing an elegant setting that perfectly complemented the special occasion.

The grounds of Hestercombe are truly breathtaking. As we strolled through the meticulously maintained gardens, we were treated to a wonderful variety of landscaping styles and beautiful botanical displays. The gardens offer picturesque views at every turn, making it an ideal backdrop for both the wedding photography and our own memorable moments.

What stood out beyond the natural beauty was the exceptional staff. Everyone we encountered was friendly, professional, and clearly committed to ensuring visitors had a wonderful experience. Their attentiveness added significantly to the positive atmosphere of the day.

I was also pleased to find that the facilities were immaculately clean and fully accessible, ensuring all guests could comfortably enjoy the venue. The attention to detail in both preservation and modern conveniences reflected the care that goes into maintaining this historic property.

Whether you're attending a special event or simply looking for a beautiful garden to explore, Hestercombe House & Gardens offers a delightful experience that I would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.
