Sir Andrew was welcomed by Area Manager Marcie Somel and Shop Manager Natalie, who shared some impressive insights into the scale and impact of the shop’s work. The store is supported by over 200 volunteers, whose dedication and generosity are central to its success. However, like many charities, the British Heart Foundation is always keen to welcome new volunteers to help continue this vital work.
Donations to the shop continue to come in steadily, reflecting the strong community support it enjoys, but there is always a need for more. Every donation helps fund life-saving research into heart and circulatory diseases, making local contributions national in impact.
The shop has built a loyal customer base and benefits from a vibrant and highly successful online sales operation, run by Molly. This online presence has become an important part of the shop’s work and includes a convenient online collection service for customers.
Sir Andrew said:
“It was great to see first-hand the commitment of staff, volunteers and supporters, and I would like to thank everyone involved for the important contribution they make to both our community and this vital cause.”
