The new service combines translation technology, AI-assisted translation, workflow automation and specialist human expertise.
ALM has expanded its technology-enabled multilingual services so organisations can manage translation, localisation, voice, video and other multilingual content through a more connected workflow.
The initiative reflects the current developments where AI can support translation, voice generation, file processing, quality checks and workflow automation.
But choosing a tool is only one part of the challenge. Organisations also need to decide where AI is appropriate, how quality will be controlled, how sensitive information will be protected and where professional human judgement remains essential.
ALM’s approach gives organisations access to advanced language technology without requiring them to buy a platform, build an internal language-technology team or manage multiple tools.
ALM’s Language Operations Suite connects these elements so that AI becomes part of a managed multilingual workflow rather than an isolated step.
Lisa Williams, CEO of ALM Translations, said: “The opportunity is not simply to translate more content with AI. It is to build a smarter multilingual operation around each organisation’s content, systems and level of risk.
“We want our clients to benefit from advances in technology without losing control over quality, security or the human expertise their content requires.”
Through the initiative, ALM Translations brings together the appropriate technology, linguistic resources and specialist expertise to manage each stage after a client provide their content and define the requirements.
The same managed approach can support multilingual voice, video, subtitles and other multimedia content, bringing translation, pronunciation, timing and linguistic review
ALM’s technology proposition is supported by an AI governance framework that considers content sensitivity, intended use, quality requirements, regulatory context and client-specific policies before an AI-assisted workflow is agreed.
It is also supported by ISO 17100 and ISO 9001certified processes, Cyber Essentials and established confidentiality, quality and supplier controls.
Organisations can start with an existing content flow and introduce the capabilities that add practical value, whether through better content reuse, terminology control, automation, AI-assisted translation, multimedia localisation or system integration.
The workflow can then evolve as volumes, systems and international requirements change.
