A Sutton Coldfield planning consultancy is looking to unite businesses to support the reopening of the town centre.

Cerda Planning has been operating remotely, away from its high-street offices, throughout lockdown.

When preparing planning applications and promoting sites for local housebuilders and developers, Cerda uses the skills of Sutton Coldfield-based graphic designers, architects, estate agents, printers, training organisations, heritage consultants, accountants and legal advisors.

The company has continued to do so during lockdown, providing businesses with opportunities to benefit from relaxed planning regulations or to explore temporary permissions to overcome the current restrictions.

As a Sutton Coldfield BID board member, one of Cerda’s managing directors, Alison Clack, has reemphasised the need to support local firms.

She wants to establish a mutually-beneficial local network of service providers.

Alison said: “The support given by both the BID and the Chamber is invaluable. The advice we have received has been instrumental in ensuring that our offices can safely open for staff, and in time visitors, which in turn will provide our town centre retail and leisure neighbours with footfall and new business opportunities as lockdown gradually eases.”
