Sutton Coldfield Town Centre BID is inviting businesses across Sutton Coldfield Town Centre to ‘bring out the bunting’ and decorate their shop fronts or office interiors to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

Her Majesty The Queen will become the first British Monarch to celebrate 70 years of service – and celebrations are taking place from 2 to 5 June..

The winning shop front or interior work space will be awarded a celebratory plaque, £100 in town centre vouchers plus a feature in the Sutton Chronicle newspaper and a town centre billboard advertising the winning decor and all about the business.

Entrants should send a photo of their decorations to info@suttoncoldfieldtowncentre.co.uk before 1 June with the name and address of their business.

Keith Ward (pictured), Town Councillor and SCTC BID board member, said: “We can’t wait to see the town centre businesses get involved in our ‘bring out the bunting’ competition and are urging all sorts of businesses to get involved from shops and restaurants through to office space and exercise studios.

“It’s time to begin investing in Sutton Coldfield town centre, not only by working in collaboration with Sutton Coldfield Town Council and Birmingham City Council in delivering the proposed Masterplan but also with community initiatives such as this.

“We are asking Sutton residents and businesses to invest their belief, confidence and custom back into our Royal town. Everyone can make a change in how the town is represented to visitors as well as potential business investors.”
