he owners and teachers from the Sutton Coldfield theatre school took on the challenge for the charity, which was set up more than a decade ago.
It helps young performers aged 16 to 18 who have won places at top drama schools, dance colleges and universities to apply for bursaries and scholarships towards course and living costs.
Nick Furlong, joint owner of Razzamataz Sutton Coldfield, said: “It was tough, it was not pleasant, and we had to really push ourselves out of our comfort zone to do this.
“But we encourage our students to push themselves out of their comfort zones every week, so we should too.
“The work of this charity is so important. In a world and climate where opportunities and funding for the arts are at risk anyway, we cannot afford to see anyone miss out on their dreams simply because of finances.”
Jodie Hall, manager of Razzamataz Sutton Coldfield, said: “It was such a fun, but challenging way to raise an amazing amount of money.
“Our motivation to complete the course was completely based around thinking of the talented young people that it will be benefitting.”
Razzamataz Sutton Coldfield offers dance, drama and singing classes for children and young people aged two to 18.
