The resort is hosting the British Masters this week, for the sixth consecutive year.
As some of the sport’s biggest names descended on the Midlands, maintaining world-class playing conditions was a key priority for The Belfry’s award-winning greenkeeping team.
Despite prolonged periods of hot and dry weather placing increasing pressure on water resources across the UK, The Belfry has been able to deliver championship-quality surfaces through an innovative irrigation system powered entirely by recycled water.
Its onsite recycling plant treats and recycles wastewater from across the resort which is then returned to holding lakes and a reservoir and used directly to irrigate the courses through powerful pumps, helping to keep greens healthy while conserving valuable freshwater resources.

The Belfry’s Brabazon course has challenged some of golf’s greatest players including Seve Ballesteros, Sam Torrance, Rory McIlroy and many more.
This year’s British Masters marked the start of the Back 9, the second phase on the DP World Tour's Race to Dubai schedule, with increased rankings points on offer throughout.
