Sutton Coldfield Town Centre BID is set to welcome a new regular street food event to the town centre this month, with the arrival of Sutton Supper Club.

Launching on Thursday 23 May, foodies can feast on a variety of treats from local traders, as well as enjoying an extensive range of ales and beers, and live music and entertainment every month.

Taking place at The Duke Inn, the inaugural event will see a range of delicious dishes served up, including Greek-style kebabs from Broken Yolk, goat curry and jerk chicken from Cropover Kitchen, gourmet hot dogs and burgers from RT Catering, and hearty, healthy meals from Cornerstone Kitchen.

There will also be a selection of homemade produce available from the likes of the The Great British Cheese Company and Mary’s Cakes, and Urban City Woodshop will be on hand with a range of beer-related gifts perfect for Father’s Day.

Entertainment on the evening will come from local band, Rock Solid, and Sutton Coldfield based singing group, Magic Voices Choir.

The latest addition to Sutton Coldfield’s varied calendar of regular markets and festivals, Sutton Supper Club is a joint partnership between Bert and Gert’s, the expert team behind the regular craft markets on the Parade, and popular public house, The Duke Inn.

Mike Bushell, Sutton Coldfield Town Centre BID Manager, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Sutton Supper Club to the town centre. We are dedicated to working closely with local organisations, including Bert & Gerts, to deliver a range of festivals and events throughout the year, such as the Sutton Supper Club and the popular Sutton Coldfield Food Festival. With a host of much-loved restaurants, pubs and bars, we are certain Sutton Supper Club will be another exciting addition to the town’s foodie scene.”

Mark Wilkes of Bert & Gert’s said “Our aim is to bring an entertaining vibrant street food event to Sutton Coldfield on a regular basis. We work all over the country, but Sutton Coldfield is our home event, and it’s great to be able to support local food traders and to work in partnership with The Duke Inn to give a stage to local talent to perform.”

Sutton Supper Club will take place from 5pm to 9pm on the last Thursday of every month at The Duke Inn.
