Planning a wedding this year? Then you’re in good company. As Prince Harry and Meghan Markle prepare to tie the knot at Windsor Castle, we take a look the best wedding services Sutton Coldfield has to offer.

The venue

Couples keen on a country house wedding will fall in love with with the sweeping lawns and tree lined drive of Sutton Coldfield’s Moor Hall Hotel & Spa. If you love the idea of exchanging your vows under a classical stone archway, the hotel’s historic sunken garden is the perfect setting for your wedding ceremony. Alternatively, you could opt for the stunning Charter Suite, which comes with its own bar.

Moor Hall can cater for up to 180 guests and every couple receives the services of an experienced wedding co-ordinator. An overnight stay in a bridal suite is also included.

The hair

Based in Four Oaks, the team at Shear Success guarantees to create the perfect hairstyle for your wedding day. An initial consultation and trial will help your stylist to create a look that matches your dress, colour theme and flowers.

Shear Success offers a variety of packages which include hair and make up for just the bride or the whole bridal party. They even cater for grooms, who can enjoy a traditional cut throat shave, trim and finish for the big day.

The photos

Stephanie Butt of Little Pops Photography has a second string to her bow. She’s also an experienced wedding photographer.  Book her for your big day and she’ll capture your special moments without being intrusive. She’ll then provide you with a set of “beautifully natural wedding photographs” with a “creative twist.”

Interested? Then drop Stephanie a line, as the process starts with a chat over coffee. This gives you the chance to share your story and get to know your photographer.

The Flowers

According to Blossom Yard’s Maria, “the right bouquet is more than a pretty display – colour, variety, fragrance and occasion all combine for a truly personal message.”

Working from her home studio in Walmley, Maria understands that every detail of your wedding day needs to be perfect, including the flowers. She’ll discuss your ideas and colour scheme, suggesting options for flower girls, headpieces, table displays and the bride’s bouquet.

Once you’ve chosen your flowers, you’ll even get the chance to see samples and previews so that you know exactly what to expect on the day.

The entertainment

Wondering how to entertain your wedding guests? Local entertainment agency LNP Sound can source DJs, bands, comedians and even chocolate fountains, so why not give them a call on 0121 553 253?

If you love the idea of having a photo booth at your reception, we recommend contacting Sutton Coldfield’s Photobooth.co.uk, whose booths feature customised backgrounds including the bright lights of Vegas and the mountains of Switzerland.

Manned by trained staff, each photo booth comes with a wide choice of props including fully lit 3ft wooden letters and a mirror that enables guests to create their own messages. Instant printing is available and all of your photos will be uploaded to a secure website.

Finally, if you’re inviting lots of little guests to your wedding, look no further than Lucky Bunty’s Entertainment. Owner and experienced events manager Jayne can provide clowns, magicians, bouncy castles and other activities that will keep the kids out of mischief while their parents relax.

Have we inspired you with our wedding day suggestions? We’d love to know!
