Sutton Coldfield Town Centre BID has announced that Angela Henderson, Centre Manager at The Gracechurch Centre, has been appointed as Chair of the town centre’s Business Improvement District (BID).

Angela, previously Vice Chairman of the BID, has taken over from Stephen Roberts, founding director at Robson Lister Wealth Management, who had held the role since 2017.

Having managed The Gracechurch Centre since summer 2016, Angela brings over 26 years’ experience of working in a retail environment to her new role. She is passionate about driving growth in town centres and has gained a great deal of experience working with stakeholders in other towns throughout her career.

As well as welcoming Angela to lead the board, Sutton Coldfield Town Centre BID has also welcomed three new members; David Hemming of Burley Browne, Mark Harris of Mark Harris Accountants and Stephen Nixon of Enoch Evans.

Stephen Roberts moves on from his role as Chairman following two years of hard work and dedication to the ongoing development of Sutton Coldfield as part of the BID team.

Mike Bushell, Sutton Coldfield Town Centre BID Manager, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Angela into her new role as Chair of Sutton Coldfield Town Centre BID. Since joining the BID team in 2016, her commitment to Sutton Coldfield has been paramount, and we’re certain Angela will further continue to play a vital role in shaping the future of the town centre.

“We would like to extend a big thank you to Stephen for his continued hard work and dedication to the BID.”

Angela added: “It is a great honour to be appointed Chair of Sutton Coldfield Town Centre BID, having held position of Vice Chair since 2017. My role as Centre Manager at The Gracechurch Centre has allowed me to build strong links to the local business community, and I look forward to working even more closely with the board to continue Stephen’s hard work in developing Sutton Coldfield’s vibrant and varied offering.”
