Sutton Coldfield Community Games update
8th July 2020

As you know we would normally be gearing up for the Sutton Games this Saturday, but this is not a normal year. We have still been active though and will be providing some fun and inspiration with a new website going live on July 11th www.communitygamescic.co.uk    I am really looking forward to seeing how we can still help people to become active through our new website.    We have some great fun videos for people to try and with their family and friends, where they safely can, and also a Club Directory highlighting the clubs that are still active in some shape, way or form at this time.    We also have a Facebook Live Bhangra class at 2:30pm on the 11th with Bally Bhogal from BBX, pictured here in training with Buddy, the Community Games mascot. Bhangra dancing really is great fun and great exercise too, I encourage you all to tune in and have a go, it’s guaranteed to make you smile!   On August 15th we will refresh the website with new inclusive material supporting people with physical and learning difficulties too.    I think in time to come this ‘web’ string that has been added to the bow will run alongside our ’normal’ face to face Community Games and help to extend our reach as far as possible.    Essentially we want to connect people with providers and I know that once people make those connections their lives are improved, especially their health and wellbeing. So I hope that people will enjoy our first step into online support.
