Musical duo So It Goes, who rocked Barr Beacon at the first music and food festival Rock the Beacon festival last month, are set to rock the Royal Town for the 10th annual Sutton Coldfield Expo on Saturday 28th September
So It Goes combines the poetic and songwriting talents of published author, playwright and poet Brendan Hawthorne and singer Kerry Halford. They entertained the crowds in the acoustic tent during the Rock the Beacon Festival for Sutton Coldfield and north Birmingham. Brendan and Kerry are currently working on a new selection of their original music for their second CD which will be available at all of their concerts and online.
So it Goes formed in 2011 and embody a diverse musical influence with Brendan being driven by the blues and Kerry building on her folk and country traditions. Their musical influences merge into a kaleidoscopic array of acoustic-based music.
Brendan and Kerry launched their first CD entitled Because in 2012 at Wednesbury Town Hall. They have since performed at hundreds of intimate gigs and festivals combining their original material with a unique take on some of the best-loved songs of the last 40 years, ranging from blues and country through to jazz and rock.
