Bishop Vesey’s Grammar School welcomed 45 exhibitors and 29 speakers to its annual careers fair.

The careers fair featured subject-specific seminars and a range of exhibitors from sectors such as marketing and communications, IT and tech and banking and finance.

Each seminar featured three professionals offering their advice on how to get into their industry.

Professionals from Rolls Royce, the NHS, Rothschild and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office gave presentations in these seminars, which concluded with student-led Q&A sessions.

The second part of the day was a careers exhibition in the Sports Hall.

Exhibitors from PwC, the British Army, Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce, Mitchells & Butlers and Ocado were among those represented.

Dominic Robson, headteacher at BVGS, said: “The careers fair held here at BVGS gives our students the chance to think about how they can best shape their Vesey experience to prepare them for the wider world.

“Exhibitors from such a wide variety of careers and jobs meant that our students could explore different ways of accessing a huge variety of careers.

“It was great to see students so engaged with exhibitors and lovely to hear positive feedback from exhibitors about our students. A positive and formative event for all involved.”
