Heart of England Community Foundation has appointed Jude Jennison as its new Chair of Trustees.

Jude, who has served as a trustee on the foundation for seven years, brings both corporate expertise and entrepreneurial insight to her new role.

She began her career at IBM, spending 17 years in a range of leadership positions ranging from managing a $1 billion budget to leading teams across the globe.

Today, Jude runs Leaders By Nature where she works with executive boards, senior leaders and entrepreneurs to develop confident, compassionate leadership.

She is also an international speaker and the author of three leadership books.

Jude will now guide the Foundation as it embarks on its new three-to-five-year strategy focused on championing communities and deepening its impact across the region.

Jude said: “It’s a privilege to take on the role of Chair at such a pivotal time for the Foundation.

“Our communities face social and economic challenges, yet they also have extraordinary potential.

“As the first female Chair, I’m proud to build on our strong foundations and lead the Board as we deliver our ambitious three-to-five-year strategy and ensure every pound we invest creates lasting change across the region.”

Tina Costello OBE, CEO of the Foundation, said that Jude is well-placed to lead the Foundation in its next chapter.

She said: “I couldn’t be happier to see Jude step into the role of Chair of Trustees. She’s been a passionate and dedicated member of our Board for many years, and her leadership, experience and empathy make her the perfect person to guide us through this next chapter.

“I’m really looking forward to working alongside her as we continue to grow the Foundation’s impact across the region.”

Chris West, former Chair of Trustees, added: “It has been a pleasure and a privilege to be Chair of the Foundation for the last four years. I am delighted to be handing the Chair to Jude who I know will lead the charity on to further success in the future, alongside our Chief Executive Tina Costello OBE.”
