The funding is this quarter’s focus for the toll road operator’s In the Community scheme, which backs local organisations across the region.
Each quarter’s theme is chosen by M6toll colleagues.
Grants are available for projects that provide emergency food supplies, improve access to affordable and nutritious meals, reduce hunger and support people facing financial hardship.
Jo Brett, external communications assistant at M6toll, said: “No one should have to worry about where their next meal is coming from.
“Through this quarter’s theme, we’re proud to support organisations working tirelessly to tackle food poverty, provide essential support, and help ensure individuals and families can access the food they need to thrive.”
M6toll said the funding helps grassroots groups to extend their reach and strengthen their services.
