While many businesses slow down over the summer due to annual leave and planned factory shutdowns, the logistics industry continues to keep supply chains moving.
This year also sees the introduction of new international tachograph regulations for many vans operating internationally, adding another consideration for businesses shipping goods across Europe.
Simon Beechener, managing director of Simpex Express, said: “Summer always brings a slightly different pace to European logistics.
“As businesses across Europe begin their holiday period, planning ahead can really help.
“We're continuing to move urgent shipments throughout the UK and Europe every day, and our focus remains the same throughout the summer – providing the high level of service and communication our customers expect from Simpex.”
As businesses trade throughout the summer, Simpex Express encourages customers to keep in touch with their logistics providers and discuss upcoming shipments wherever possible.
