Local Poet To Perform At Sutton Coldfield Expo 2019

Sutton Coldfield`s popular one day exhibition, Expo, returns to the Royal Town on Saturday 28th September which will see the Town centre come to life with a host of businesses, charities and community groups showcasing their varied offering.  Sutton Coldfield Town Centre BID, with a board of over 10 local business people at the helm, is developing the already strong offering in the Royal Town by delivering a range of events and investment in the area.  

Local poet Ian Henery is hosting the popular community stage to entertain crowds for the day with live performances fro a line-up of local artists, bands and performing groups.  "I am honoured to be hosting and performing on the community stage for the 4th year", said Ian Henery.  "The return of Expo will be the Royal Town`s 10th and largest year celebrating Sutton Coldfield.  The one day event brings the Royal Town to life with the varied and vibrant showcase with everything from retailers to charities to professional services and community groups".

Organised by Sutton Coldfield Town Centre BID, there will be over 50 stalls from businesses throughout the day at the Expo including The Weigh Forward, Pilates Lounge, Empire Cinema, St Giles Hospice and Wyndley Leisure Centre.  Local community groups include Sutton Coldfield Vegans, Aston & Erdington Photographic Society and Sutton Coldfield Movie Makers to offer prospective members a chance to find out more about memberships.   

"The day will offer the local community the perfect opportunity to discover the rich variety of businesses right on our doorstep" said Mike Bushell, Sutton Coldfield Town centre BID Manager "whether it is professional services, retailers,restaurants, charities or clubs as well as making the most of a host of exclusive offers available and enjoying some local entertainment".  

Confirmed entertainment on the community stage are Tim Philpot, Angelina Ballerina, Stagecoach Performing Arts, Tuneless Choir, Mainstage Drama, Dawn Peters, Razzamatazz, Pilates Lounge, So It Goes, Brendan Hawthorne, Angela Garratt and the North Birmingham Suzuki School.  2i am really looking forward to welcoming some special people on the stage" said Ian Henery "because we are showcasing the budding musicians who took part in Sutton Has Musical Talent.  These amazing young people performed in front of a panel of expert judges to be in with a chance of being crowned winner of the competition."  

Performing on stage will be the overall winner of Sutton Has Musical talent 2019, Amiyah Goodall plus Kacey McCann who was overall winner for 2018.  Amelia Waldron, winner of the under 18  category of Sutton has Musical talent 2019 will also be performing.
