Speakers included representatives of the Sutton Coldfield Chamber of Commerce, Moor Hall Hotel and Aston Villa.
Tom Halligan from Moor Hall Hotel, talked to pupils about what it is like to work in the field of hospitality and gave his own story of his progression from waiter service to gaining qualifications in hospitality management to become conference & events operations manager.
Aston Villa Academy’s head of education, Ben Ashby, talked about the pyramid of success into professional football for young people.
Highclare School was also grateful to Michelle Dean, head of family department at HCB Solicitors for her enthusiasm and engaging presentation, parent speakers Mrs Kate Whatley of Phoenix Consortia (roofing for the construction industry) and Dr Ali Ismail, who explained his journey to becoming a GP.
A spokesperson said: “Highclare School extends its thanks to all of the speakers who volunteered their time to talk to their young people.”
