It has been launched by University College Birmingham who are mapping the West Midlands’ sustainability training to ensure their Continuing Professional Development (CPD) offer genuinely supports local organisations as they adapt to a greener economy.

The university is an accredited Institute of Sustainability and Environmental Professionals (ISEP) Training Centre, giving access to globally recognised expertise in sustainable leadership and practice.

Survey forms can be filled online and the deadline is Friday, 27 March. All respondents will be entered into a prize draw, where three winners will receive B-Corp gift boxes.

The survey has been launched during a period where recent report revealed that 53 per cent of all green hires now come from non‑green job titles.

University graduates are actively seeking employers who demonstrate genuine sustainability commitments while consumer demand, regulation and long-term cost pressures mean sustainability is now embedded in job descriptions and business strategy.

Avantika Bhargava, UCB’s Sustainability and Campus Services coordinator, said: "We're asking for businesses to help shape sustainability training for the region.

"In order to develop training that responds to real business needs, we need to hear from businesses themselves. This survey is designed is a quick and simple way to get that ball rolling for people who might not know where to turn.

"We know support and guidance is needed and we're here to help."
