Grace Cares is inviting unpaid caregivers to two upcoming Care Club sessions designed to offer practical help, connection and expert guidance:
The face-to-face Care Club will feature the session ‘Moving & handling made safer’, in which an NHS physiotherapist provides practical tips.
It takes place from 10am to midday on Thursday 27 November (venue to be shared on registration).
Meanwhile, the Online Care Club is hosting a session about ‘Caring for someone with dementia’, featuring advice and a Q&A with an admiral nurse from Dementia UK.
This takes place on Friday 5 December (10.30am to 11.30am).
“Care Club exists because people caring for others need care, too,” said Tasha Inan, Care Club volunteer at Grace Cares.
“We’re creating a safe, friendly space where unpaid caregivers can learn practical skills, feel seen, and leave with confidence.”
The 2021 Census identified 5.8 million unpaid carers across the UK, and new analysis estimates their support is worth around £184 billion a year - roughly the value of a second NHS.
