Henwood Court financial planners put their baking skills to the test to raise money for YMCA Sutton Coldfield.
Every member of the team submitted a tasty treat in the firm’s very own ‘Bake Off’.
Five young adults from the YMCA Stepping Up Programme channelled their inner Paul Hollywood to act as special guest judges.
Each bake was tried and tested by the guest judges and given a score for appearance and taste.
There were 25 bakes to try - from a traditional Victoria through to magical Harry Potter cookies.
Office manager Yvonne Till was the overall winner with her Victoria sponge.
Henwood Court then invited friends, clients and neighbours to come along and buy the cakes to raise funds for the charity.
The total raised came to £566.
Managing director Nick Platt said: “It was great to see everyone getting involved and a real pleasure to welcome our guest judges. I hope we haven’t put you off cake forever!”
Anita Ellis, marketing manager at YMCA Sutton Coldfield, said: “This was such a treat for our young people and a fantastic community event.
“A brilliant effort from all the team at Henwood and a great example of CSR in action, we’re delighted to have their support.”
