Santa is coming and families can enjoy a day of festive fun on Saturday 16th November when St Giles Hospice holds its annual Christmas Fair.

The Whittington hospice has a packed afternoon of events and attractions planned, with stalls and unique gifts and activities for all the family, including the chance to meet Father Christmas in his grotto and Christmas carols. There will also be vintage cars and a working fire engine on display.

Running from 12-4pm, the fair will be the perfect start to the Christmas season, according to Sally Insley, Community and Corporate Fundraising Manager at St Giles Hospice.

“It’s a wonderful chance to stock up on your Christmas gifts, cards and decorations in good time and really start to get into the Christmas spirit,” she said. “There will be face painting and glitter tattoos for everyone who wants to add a bit of sparkle to their festive preparations.

“We’ll have games and tombolas, festive food and drink and Star Wars stormtroopers from the UK garrison will be on patrol. Our Day Hospice patients have been busy creating keepsakes and gifts for sale on the day, and we will also be welcoming the Tuneless Choir, from Sutton Coldfield, who will be singing traditional carols.”

“It truly does take a community to make a hospice, and with your support we can raise much-needed funds enabling us to continue to care for local people living with a potentially-incurable illness and their families.”

Entry to the fair costs £2 for adults and £1 for children and under-fives go free.
