CTD has officially opened its brand-new flagship Birmingham branch in Minworth, Sutton Coldfield, introducing a fresh trade-focused store concept designed to offer greater convenience, product choice and value for tilers, contractors and trade professionals across the Midlands.
The new Sutton Coldfield branch represents a major step forward in CTD’s ongoing transformation and highlights the future direction of the business as it continues to expand its national presence.
The official launch event took place on Thursday 14 May and welcomed local tradespeople, suppliers and industry partners to experience the new-format store, meet the CTD team and discover the company’s refreshed approach to customer service and trade retail.
Located in the busy Minworth trade hub, the branch has been strategically positioned to provide easy access for customers working throughout Birmingham, Sutton Coldfield, Coventry, Warwickshire, Walsall, Dudley and the wider Midlands region.
The new CTD store in Sutton Coldfield has been designed with speed, accessibility and practicality in mind. Essential tiling tools, adhesives, trims, grouts and trade materials are positioned at the forefront of the customer journey, helping installers and contractors quickly find the products they need while keeping projects running efficiently and cost-effectively.
Alongside an extensive range of professional tiling products and trade essentials, customers can also browse a carefully selected collection of tiles in-store. CTD’s wider product range remains available online, with flexible options for direct-to-site delivery or branch collection.
Unlike a traditional retail showroom, the Minworth branch introduces a more streamlined and trade-centric shopping experience tailored specifically to the everyday needs of professional installers and contractors.
Speaking about the launch, Sam Bucknall said:
“Opening our new Birmingham flagship branch is an important moment for CTD and a clear statement about where the business is heading. We wanted to create a store that genuinely works for today’s tradespeople — one that combines product availability, convenience, value and expert support all under one roof.”
He added:
“This new format reflects the changing needs of the market and gives customers faster access to the products they use every day, while still offering the product choice and service CTD has long been known for. The response from suppliers, customers and the local trade community has been incredibly positive.”
CTD has confirmed that the Minworth flagship branch is the first of several planned investments as the company continues to strengthen its presence across the UK. The business is also placing renewed focus on customer relationships, competitive pricing and an expanded supplier network, with more leading brands and trade products now available both in-store and online.
Visitors attending the opening event were invited to tour the new Sutton Coldfield store, meet the management team and take advantage of exclusive launch offers and promotions available to registered trade customers.
Sam Bucknall added:
“This is about more than just opening a new store — it’s about rebuilding confidence in the brand and showing customers what the new CTD stands for. We’re investing in our stores, our people and our service, and this flagship branch is a strong example of that commitment.”
