
One of the largest town councils in the country, it now has 19 Conservatives elected, with three Labour representatives, and Reform and Green having a single councillor each.
There are 10 new councillors, six for the Conservatives, two for Labour and one each for the Greens and Reform.
The Reform councillor is Michael Hunt in Roughley ward and the Greens representative is Ben Auton.
In the city council, Conservatives gained two seats in Sutton making a blue sweep of 10 out of 10, winning Sutton Vesey’s two Labour seats, with John Cooper and Anja Pawson ousting Rob Pocock who had stood on the council since 2021 in the ward.
Labour also lost their other seat with Kath Scott not standing.
However, Charlotte did make the town council for Vesey.
New for Labour on the town council in Vesey is Alex Cowley.
The other new councillors for the Conservatives are Sam Ward (Mere Green), Martin Clarke (Reddicap), Tristan Griffiths-Hughes (Roughley), Robin Cook (Walmley and Minworth) and Clare Horrocks and Gurmeet Singla (both Wylde Green).
