The Sutton Coldfield Community Games will return in two weeks for a weekend of record-breaking fun.

The games will take place  between 12-5pm on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 July at Wyndley Leisure Centre.

The weekend aims to be a safe, fun and inspiring celebration of health and physical activity, where participants can meet with local clubs, join in the fun and maybe even leave with a free medal.

Passionately supporting this year's Sutton Games is the town's very own Kevin Brown, an internationally acclaimed athlete with a long list of achievements on his sporting CV.

Kevin is a four time World Discuss Champion and has represented Royal Sutton Athletic Club and Great Britain at no less than seven World Masters, three European Championships, two Commonwealth Games and at the Sydney Olympics in 2000.

When’s he not training for his record attempts, Kevin spends his time working with community groups and schools, encouraging people of all ages to lead an active life.

During the games, Kevin will be attempting two new World Record’s at around 3pm each day pulling different weight Porsche’s as fast as he can down the track.

This year the Games will be ticketed and we will be charging £2.50 per person for entry and free to all under the age of three.

To give everyone plenty of space visitor numbers will be limited to 2000 people per day and we will have approximately 35 activities.

There will be refreshments and snacks available to purchase on the day and families are welcome to bring along a picnic too.

Please note there is  a zero alcohol policy on site.
