Set within six acres of beautiful grounds and housed in the historic former home of George Cadbury Jr, these retreats offer an opportunity to step away from the pace of everyday life and reconnect in a calm, reflective environment.
Combining expert-led sessions with personal time and space, the retreats are designed for those seeking inspiration, professional development, or simply a chance to recharge.
The programme focuses on mental health and resilience, creative writing and the arts, and sustainability.
Each retreat has been shaped by sector feedback and addresses real-world challenges and opportunities, with themes spanning mental health and resilience, creative retreats, and sustainability.
The mental health and resilience retreat explores the current mental health landscape, practical strategies, and pathways toward wellbeing, while the creative retreats use Fircroft’s peaceful setting to inspire writing, art, and creative expression.
The sustainability retreat draws on the college’s recognised leadership in climate action and environmental practice.
Attendees can tailor their experience - choosing to join structured, tutor-led activities or using the time for personal or professional reflection and project work.
The retreats are also well-suited to organisations seeking a distinctive and high-quality professional development experience for their teams.
Andy Gazey, assistant principal, said: “We are often asked how people can experience Fircroft beyond our traditional adult education offer.
“These retreats are our answer—an opportunity to immerse yourself in our distinctive environment, engage with meaningful topics, and connect with others. We’re proud to share both our space and our expertise in a more accessible and flexible way.”
