The team at a Sutton Coldfield business which backed a challenging charity run from Lichfield Cathedral to Tamworth Castle have praised the event as a ‘great day’ for the region.

Jordan Financial Management, Sutton’s longest-established independent financial advisers, sponsored this year’s Rotary Cathedral to Castle Run, a ten-mile multi terrain charity event from Lichfield to Tamworth.

The run, which took place on Sunday, 26th September, follows a challenging route from Beacon Park in the shadow of Lichfield Cathedral – taking in both streets and countryside paths - to finish in the Castle Grounds in Tamworth town centre.

Mike Jordan, managing director, said: “At Jordan Financial Management we like to support our local community wherever possible, whether that is providing sound financial advice to our clients or supporting charity events like the Cathedral to Castle Run.

“We were proud to back the run, which is organised by the Rotary clubs of Lichfield and Tamworth and were blown away by the efforts of everyone involved.

“It was a great day for the entire region, and fantastic to see event return. The efforts of the runners raised money for all kinds of local charities, from local food banks St Giles Hospice.

“Charities have been hard hit by the pandemic, with so many fundraising events cancelled, so it was great to see this brilliant local run take place.

“I take my hat off to the volunteers from Rotary who have put this together, and all the runners who took on the challenge.”
