A Sutton Coldfield catering company is in the running for national recognition after being named the West Midlands’ best wedding caterer for the second year in a row.

Caviar & Chips was voted the Best Wedding Caterer in the West Midlands in The Wedding Industry Awards, which featured more than 1,000 wedding industry suppliers from across the country.

Votes for all entrants were completed by more than 23,000 clients who had experienced the services and so all winners where from first-hand experience.

Caviar & Chips Catering - founded by Jonathan Carter-Morris (pictured, centre) and Marc Hornby in 2017 - has a production kitchen in Sutton Coldfield and deliver weddings and events all around the UK.

The duo also launched their first pub this year – the The Famous Virgins in Castle in Kenilworth, Warwickshire.

Marc said: “We had over 100 weddings planned in the diary for this year and so far we’ve delivered just three.  We have managed to help all of our other clients postpone their wedding days to 2021 and 2022, it really has been a difficult year for everyone.

“Winning the Wedding Industry Award for the second year running is a big boost to our team and in many ways we’re just thankful that we still have a business to run.

“As well as helping our clients re-plan their wedding days, we’ve been busy behind the scenes working with venue partners and we’ve recently joined with Walcot Hall as their exclusive, resident caterers.

“We’ve also recently announced plans to open our own venue called Stockton House in Shropshire and so whilst we can’t currently deliver weddings, we’ve been keeping optimistic and looking ahead to the future.”

Jonathan Carter-Morris, who is also the executive chef, said: “This was has been a year that no business could plan for.

“Our main focus has been to be client-led and we have done that from the beginning and I think that’s what helps us stand out from our competition.

“Our clients know that we put their plans and ideas before our profits and whilst we are in business to make a profit, for us it’s far more important to do the right thing.”
