The funding will help Housing Plus Group invest in existing homes, strengthen neighbourhoods and deliver new homes across its portfolio of more than 33,000 properties in Shropshire, Staffordshire, and Telford & Wrekin.

The deal forms part of Barclays' broader Business Prosperity Fund, a £22bn lending commitment available to clients across the UK for new lending and refinancing, and reflects the bank's continued support for growing organisations across sectors.

Neil Hetherington, social housing relationship director at Barclays, said: "We are proud to further strengthen our long-standing partnership with Housing Plus Group through the agreement of a new £200m revolving credit facility.

"This milestone reflects the strength of our collaborative relationship and provides a platform for continued investment in both existing homes and the development of new high-quality affordable homes fit for the future.”

Richard Nowell, interim chief finance officer at Housing Plus Group, said: “This is an important milestone for our Group and gives us the confidence and capacity to do more for our customers and communities.

“We are grateful for Barclays' support and proud of the work colleagues across the organisation have put into making this happen.”

Wayne Gethings, group chief executive at Housing Plus Group, said: “Securing this funding means we can continue investing in our customers' homes and neighbourhoods, while delivering more new homes for future generations.

“It gives us the financial strength to support our long-term plans and continue making a positive difference in the communities we serve.”
