Wreaths will be laid at the Ambulance Services, Fire and Rescue Services and UK Police Memorials ahead of the Arboretum's daily Act of Remembrance in the Millennium Chapel at 11am.
A 75-minute guided walk, priced at £5 per person, will run daily at 1pm from 5 to 13 September, taking in memorials to the Fire and Rescue Services, RNLI, St John's Ambulance and the UK Police Memorial, as well as the Twin Towers Memorial marking 25 years since the 9/11 attacks.
Visitors to the UK Police Memorial can also hear poems written by local students with the Police Arboretum Memorial Trust, created to mark the fifth anniversary of the memorial's dedication.
Philippa Rawlinson, director of Remembrance at the Royal British Legion, said the Arboretum was home to memorials honouring those who “dedicate their lives to protecting others”, adding that 999 Day offers a chance to recognise their service.
She said: “Behind every memorial is a story of selfless service and unwavering dedication. 999 Day provides an important opportunity to recognise that service and to remember those who have and continue to serve our country.”
999 Day was established in 2017 to recognise the Emergency Services and remember those who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
