Actor Who Performed In Two Sold Out Shows For Chinese Mid Autumn Festival To Perform In 48 Hour Perform A Thon For Charity

A local actor and musician called Luke Dalton  is preparing to take part in a 48 hour Perform A Thon for charity - and he will be sharing his challenge at 6pm on Monday 20th October on The Ian Henery Show on Black Country Xtra.    

 

He previously performed in no less than two sold out shows to 1,500 people for the Chinese Mid Autumn Festival in Birmingham funded by Arts Council England.  The event was staged by the Birmingham Chinese Festival Committee.  Following these two performances Luke then performed in a third festival at the Ming Moon restaurant in the Chinese Quarter for the Birmingham Chinatown Business Association.       

 

Luke Dalton is an actor, pianist and composer.  He has been a stage actor for 27 years, and has appeared in plays across many genres including comedy, pantomimes, and drama. He has been a member of many theatre groups including A Comedy Theatre Group, Action, and the Shakespearean theatre group MDCC in which he acted in plays such as Julius Caesar, Antony and Cleopatra, The Tempest and Hamlet. He will be appearing in Snow White with A Comedy Theatre Group on the 12th, 13th and 14th of December at Wollaston Village Hall.          

 

His next gig will be performing  in  The Cave - a 48 hour Perform-A-Thon between noon 31st October - noon 2nd November  in Redditch.  2,000 people in the audience and between 75,000 - 80,000 on social media.  They are filling 48 continuious hours with performances of every kind - artists, musicians, poerts, comedians, dancers and performers.  It`s a platform to showcase talent and creativity in a supportive, community focused space.  All proceeds are going towards launching The Cave Redditch - a charity run venue and creative hub for everyone.           

 

As a composer, Luke channels his passion into creating piano music in a classical style. His musical versatility also extends to rock, having released a symphonic rock single called "Falling" which he co-wrote with vocalist Kim Izzard. He is currently immersed in crafting his instrumental piano album, "Painting With Music".
