Communitea will offer the local community the opportunity to browse and buy a wide selection of quality donated items within the shop and a sofa seat with a complimentary cuppa in the Communitea lounge.
Communitea is situated within the Age Concern Birmingham building, 76-78 Boldmere Road, Boldmere, Sutton Coldfield.
Ben Goode from Age Concern Birmingham says:
“We’re very proud of Communitea. It’s one of the very few charity shops to offer a lounge style seating area with complementary tea and coffee. It’s an opportunity to bring people together to develop friendships and groups. We are planning to set up a knitting group and a book club as a starter, so we need interested people!”
The shop, staffed by volunteers, will be refreshing its stock weekly so it will always be worth popping in to see what’s new.
Donations such as good quality clothing, bric-a-brac, books DVDs and the like are welcome and the shop is looking for more volunteers to add to its team.
