Just seen the only two reviews for this restaurant so far and can't believe what I've read. Have eaten here for over 20 years. Staff are always friendly, service is good, food is always excellent.The decor isn't 5 star, but is modern and above all spotlessly clean. Have taken many friends and relatives to eat here and every single one has been delighted. When coming to stay with us one of the first questions is "are we eating at Shimla"!!
The fact that you can take your own alcohol and reasonably priced food means you can have a goog night out for under £20 per head.
Have tried every other Indian restaurant in a 10 mile radius of Aldridge and nothing compares to Shimla.

went here a few years ago and sat on the terrace and it was great, now i wasnt expecting to sit on the terrace although it was offered as it was freezing. anyway the place needs a refurb its getting pretty run down, food was pretty good though

We use thier takeaway service regularly. We do try other local takeaways from time to time but always go back to Shimla. In my opinion the service, freindliness and most of all the food are all excellent
