Superb meal every single time, brilliant service! They know me very well now and always make me feel welcome. It is now my parents local, my aunt has started visiting and so has my neighbour!

I’ve eaten in a few India restaurants and worked in several in the 90s. The curries take me back to the ones I used to serve. Proper traditional dishes with lots of flavour (not tried their starters). Probably the best around Aldridge and Birmingham. Really impressed. Good service too.

7 of us visited this restaurant and we all enjoyed lovely food. Licensed but you can take your own alcohol with you. Lovely atmosphere and waiters were very pleasant. Will certainly return.

My wife and I are regular visitors to this restaurant... I have reviewed before and feel I need to refresh my results..you will get a warm welcome on arrival,Habib being the perfect gentleman,nothing is too much trouble and will help with the menu if unsure

Have to say, there are many other Indian restaurants in Aldridge Village. Although this is our local one, that is not the sole reason that we use the Shimla. Many other restaurants can't keep the consistency of food that the Shimla does. Most likely due to change of chefs. The Shimla has the same chef I knew of, for over 20 years ago. I know exactly what style of cooking to expect whenever we visit. It will taste as good as the last one.
We try to get down to the Shimla as often as we can. Very clean and bright looking restaurant and top quality food and friendly service. The midweek specials are extremely good value and if you so desire, you can take your own drinks.
I would highly recommend a visit.
