Just had our first visit to the fabulous refurbished Royal Cinema. I took my Mom Bridget who is 89 to see her namesake 'Bridget Jones' new film . The place is amazing, we were in Screen 3 , fabulous comfy seats , like home from home . I would just like to say a huge thankyou to the amazing staff who looked after us from the minute we arrived, as my Mom was in a wheelchair, in particular Des , he guided us through onto the wheelchair lift , even holding my Moms hand to reassure her as she became nervous and then on into screen 3 to make sure we got to the right seats , there we were handed onto another wonderful member of staff called Wendy , who again kindly shuffled a few others around to get us settled and to the other wonderful ladies who swopped seats so my Mom didn't have to struggle to the back., it was much appreciated. Hopefully this will be the 1st of many visits , and thankyou, thankyou to the saviours of our wonderful old Art Deco listed building Cinema the new 'Royal ' , you certainly made us feel welcome and like Royalty today . So glad they’ve reopened this classic Art Deco cinema. They’ve done an amazing job with the decor and the seating, and the prices are way lower than most of the corporate multiplexes. Friendly staff and a great selection of movies, including special screenings for children and pensioners. My only small gripe is that they no longer have a designated car park, but that’s not enough to lose them a star, since that was already a done deal before the new owners took over.

Beautiful movie theater with ultra comfortable lazy-boy type seats. Arrive early and have a drink at the beautiful upstairs bar. Just wow!

Such a comfy cinema, absolutely loved the seats with footstool, so warm there too. Nice bar you can take drinks in, they just need to do food now and would be perfect.

I came here on a busy Saturday lunchtime with my mum who uses a wheelchair. The staff were very accommodating, helping us use the ramp and holding doors open even though they were busy, which made the whole experience so much more enjoyable. My mum hasn’t been to the cinema for years since her illness but we’ve already planned our next trip.

Wow, wow. Visited for the first time, since refurbishment. Very comfy and stylish. More like a theatre visit with the bars, even smelt beautiful. 👍
However, it was the fabulous warm welcome from Des & Steve that made it a special experience. Told them we used to visit here in our courting days 50 years ago & like VIPS, we were shown around. Des showed us the large upstairs areas & Steve even took our photo in screen 3.
Shown the senior screening flyer £5 at 11am on Wednesdays with cuppa & biscuits. BARGAiN. Also weekend monthly London live Musical streamings

I used to work for the cinema when it was an odeon and I've got to say this company has turned the place around! It's mix of art deco but modern equipment and lovely seating is a fresh change from other chain cinemas, the staff and manager are helpful and lovely people. Thank you for everything me, my partner and kids loved watching Moana 2 here and will be back again.

I usually frequent other cinemas, but this was my first time visiting Royal Cinema on Saturday night, and I was thoroughly impressed! Tristan and Wendy provided exceptional service, greeting me with warm smiles and going out of their way to assist with any questions I had, even though it was a busy night. Their friendliness and attentiveness made my experience stand out, and I felt welcomed right from the start. It’s not often that customer service makes such an impact, and I’ll definitely be returning to Royal Cinemas for future visits. Highly recommend!

This cinema is stunning! The decor is gorgeous and auditorium seating is so comfy, not your standard cinema seating, depending on which screen you're in there is sofas, foot rests and recliner chairs! All with cup holders of course. Staff really friendly and helpful. Not a cheap cinema but worth the extra for the comfort factor. And so much nicer than going into Birmingham or travelling further afield.

Absolutely amazing, was last in the cinema in 2012, always liked it but definitely needed some TLC. Went when it reopened to see Gladiator 2 and Omg what a transformation beautifully done in the lobby, and the cinema area lovely . The screens and sound were really good and the staff were really nice.
Just what Sutton needed. So happy it didn't get knocked down or turned into apartments.
