Excellent fish and chips for a weekday lunch. Lovely stylishly decorated dining room, pleasant atmosphere, very friendly staff and well designed and interesting menu. Will definitely be coming back to try some of the other really nice dishes I saw on the menu. Just sorry my mum paid and messed up tipping on the machine and then we didn’t have enough change for a proper tip sorry!

Went there for a wake. Biacao is not extra dry martini . You don't have it say so Don't fob off the punter. Just saying in.

Popped into The Fox for lunch half-way round a Sudbury circular walk. So impressed. The food was excellent. Plenty of choice on the menu and specials. Thoughtfully presented and generous portions. Carafes of wine available and Brewshed beers. The pub itself is well laid out and the staff friendly and attentive. I cannot recommend it enough.

The vegan menu was disappointing. There were two choices as a main dish - Cauliflower steak or Gnocchi. These have been the only choices on the menu for over six months. As I don't like Gnocchi, I did try it, as a change from the cauliflower steak, but ended up only eating the peas, I am fed up of only having one choice each time I visit this restaurant while the non-vegans have at least six choices, so can have a different meal. This is really disappointing and means that I am reluctant to return even though the food is well cooked and tasty, and will be looking for other places to eat where the vegan menu is not an after thought.

As I said the food is really good. Two courses was plenty for us. I had fish, the others had various meats. There was a veggie option (which I nearly went for).
Staff are friendly and knowledgeable.

A super restaurant- well worth noting down.
Good food. Subtle flavours. Well thought out.
Of particular note was the duck meat scotch egg with red cabbage. Superb. Cool interior on a hot day - aircon. Great seating outside too.

My friend & I had a fabulous 3 courses here last night. It's been a while since I lasted visited, but the interior has had a lovely refurbishment and feels spacious but cosy at the same time.
My friend is gluten-free, but there was a great choice for her on the menu. For starters she had goats cheese fritters & I had cauliflower fritters both with onion chutney, which were fresh & delicious. We both had the same for mains ( which is very unusual!) - Mushroom Gnocchi, which was very moreish and was gone in minutes! ( no photo if that as it was gone so quickly!!) As we still had room for pudding, we had Lemon Curd rice pudding & Creme Brulee which were the perfect finish to our meal. The service both waitresses was attentive, friendly and relaxed. ( name check to Fiona!)

The design makes it look like a plain/basic restaurant but the food was sooo good, with proper innovative creations bringing a combination of unique tastes together. Like the Merkel in Salsa Verde sauce and the Sea Bream with mashed cauliflower - Yum! Highly recommended

The food here is on the more expensive side but worth every penny. I personally enjoyed a very well cooked T-bone steak.
The wine list is decent without being extraordinary (but I'm no expert on wine).
The staff are polite and helpful. The venue is card only so I'd recommend bringing cash to tip to ensure it goes to the waiting staff.

Every time we've been here we've never had a bad meal. The table service is always on point and the food is unbelievably good.
A bit pricey but you get what you pay for and what you get is an amazing dinning experience. Just wish I had the money to eat there more often.
