I popped in for lunch with my 92 year old aunty and we had a really lovely lunch. The stew and dumplings were delicious and we followed it with a warm scone and clotted cream and strawberry jam. It was yumptios. Our waitress was such a sweetheart and couldn't have been nicer. It was such a lovely lunch and a smashing day out.

went yesterday ( Sunday ) , first time in a couple of years and loved every minute of the experience . very welcoming staff , beer was lovely and the sunday lunch turkey roast was to die for . we go out most sundays for lunch somewhere and that was the best sunday lunch of 2024 . loved it ... we will be back .

We are regular customers at The Fox, as we visit relatives in Sudbury monthly and we find other local establishments to be well below their high standards for food and service.
We have positively reviewed before but wanted to particularly compliment the team for hosting a birthday lunch for 9, last week. The food was , as usual, great and the service was thoughtful and helpful to our guests.
We had a great time. We will be back!

Went for a 4 mile walk through Bulmer and surrounding villages today with my partner and was planned around having a pub lunch. My first visit here and we both had the Monday pie and a pint, and both had the chicken n ham hock, absolutely delicious, the cream sauce also elevated it.

Had my 25 year service meal with a total of 12 people we had a great night food was outstanding everyone commented how they enjoyed and all would highly recommend.

Ate here the other day, fantastic food! Service was amazing daisy came and checked on is multiple times throughout our meal, made sure everything was ok and kept on top of drinks and water! Will be back again soon

We have visited this restaurant a few times - for dinner and lunch over the past few months. The food is lovely and the service is excellent! We can not fault the food - had the pork, the fish dishes and a Sunday roast too - which there is lots of!
Daisy and Fran have both served us on different occasions and they are both happy and helpful and so polite! We will be back soon. Keep it up.

Went to the fox for a date night a few weeks ago! Cannot fault this place! We were seated straight away and were serviced by a lovely young girl. Fran was very helpful and attentive. Food was very good, could not say a bad word about this place

Lovely kind service and enthusiastic staff, had the shepard’s pie fritters to start, didn’t know what to expect but loved them! For mains i had the butternut squash risotto that was perfectly seasoned and delicious. My friend had the scotch egg starter and the steak and ale pie for mains and enjoyed them too! Will defiantly return!

We came to The Fox for Sunday lunch and we were served by Fran and Daisy. Both of them went out of their way for us and the food was outstanding. They were very professional and attentive, always happy to help and just made the entire experience perfect.

Highly recommended! Food delicious, drinks perfectly chilled. Very clean place and wonderful friendly staff. Took my friend for lunch, the sardines on foccacia starter was amazing, same for the pork belly and the steak pie.

Came here for a delicious lunch with my parents and husband. Our waitresses Daisy and Fiona looked after us so well, as did the chef! Everything we ordered was fabulous: onion tarte tatin, smoked haddock scotch egg, sirloin steak, fish & chips, chicken breast special, pork belly, lemon tart and ice cream! Thank you so much. Food took a long time to come. (Wasn’t hugely busy.) The kids portions were truly mean in size. We ordered them again. The bitter beer is good. The waitresses were polite and efficient. It was Sunday but apart from three other meals choices they were ONLY doing roasts. So you know… not exactly ecstatic
