The annual Classic Motor Show known as 'Wheel Nuts' is staged in the beautiful grounds of St Roses school in the late Spring. It has become a very popular event attracting large numbers of owners with their unique and magnificent vehicles as well as a large and appreciative crowd of admirers who, together, celebrate all that is excellent in motor transport down through the ages.
The event has raised a substantial amount of funds which has allowed the school to replace its aged minibuses with brand new vehicles with support from The Variety Club of Great Britain. This enables our wonderful students to continue being heavily and successfully involved in many forms of outdoors pursuits both locally and nationally.
The most recent event, 'Wheel Nuts 2010' raised almost £10,000 in May and the funds have made a significant contribution to the Smile Appeal at the school. The appeal was set up to improve our facilities and raise the considerable sum of over £1.1 million to build a hydrotherapy pool at the school to provide the immensely important therapy on site at our school for our young people. We are very close to reaching our goal and these are exciting times at St Rose's.
We continue to strive to improve the quality of the event and it is very encouraging to receive many letters of appreciation after the show from people who have taken part and who have clearly enjoyed being part of it. Our 2011 'Wheel Nuts' show is on Sunday 8th May, why not come along and join us?   Unfortunately, the show is now fully subscibed and we are unable to accept any further applications from exhibitors.
