Well Done Wycliffe!

Wycliffe students are celebrating another set of excellent A level results this year including a total of twenty of the new, much-prized A* grades between them & places at Oxford and Cambridge as well as other top UK universities.

The school’s overall pass rate rose again, this year to more than 99% with an increase in the percentage of A grades rising for the sixth year in a row at the College. These are the first results for the new A levels which were redesigned to reinforce confidence in the qualification as the ‘gold standard’ in education with more complex content, tougher exams and less coursework.

Wycliffe Head, Margie Burnet Ward said, “These are another exceptional set of results for our students. We are particularly pleased that, even with a tightening of the standards this year, there has been another improvement in our pass rate. The number of very high grades, particularly in languages and Maths gives me very great pleasure.

“We have a comprehensive intake throughout the school, including at sixth form and we have students celebrating success at many levels, with the vast majority securing the places they want at university. This is extremely encouraging in the especially competitive market this year and is a testament to the hard work of students and the efforts of dedicated staff.”
