Great experience at this garage. Phoned in the morning for air con re-gas, able to fit me in same day. Dominics customer service skills and people skills are 100% and something you don't see very often/ at all with the younger generation. He was so pleasant, polite and so genuine with every customer. His parents should be so proud!

When you read positive reviews i often feel they are AI bots just by the wording or employee’s families.
I am neither. I had bad experiences in most of my driving life with garages. and in one case not even doing the work.
Last 3 year's i have gone to Tackwood. For MOTS and Services. They have never tried to add unnecessary work on to boost the bill. In fact the last time i was there i booked in for a full service and they notified me only a interim service is needed . I tell them any minor extras on MOT just do it. That’s like a blank cheque but never have they created work to increase the bill. Unless i leave the area i will never go anywhere else. I have 100% trust in them and for me that is the highest praise. Thank you

Another positive experience with tacwood autos. took my sprinter utility vehicle in for MOT, was given a polite call by Dominic who informed everything was fine with my van, but one area which caused it to fail was the EML light being on. Damian advised on diagnostics being carried out and checked with me before proceeding. Upon my agreement they carried out the advised procedure and found i needed a forced DPF regeneration, again keeping me informed and checking with me before carrying out any work. i agreed, the regeneration was carried out and was 100% cleared using there process, fault code cleared and MOT passed. Upon my arrival robbie explained all details of the faults and processes thoroughly and provided me with full documentation and proof of works. everything was made clear and easy to understand. Price was good, fair and reasonable, especially considering the attention to detail.

Just had my Van back from Tackwoods. My van went in for break repairs on the front. new discs and pads. They had issues (Ford Custom) with the hubs and nuts been stuck. Easy solution was to say you need more new parts. Instead they eventually after some time managed to get both Hubs and discs off. I am grateful for what they did and not just to go down the easy and more costly route. Ethical company comes to mind who are honest. I would 100% recommend this company as i always do.

Booked my car in for a service with Tackwoods, and they could have ripped me off by telling me it needed a full service but as I do very little mileage in my car I was advised I only needed a small service this time. As soon as it was booked I received a text telling me exactly how much it would cost. During the service they found some work that needed doing, so they phoned me to tell me and again totally up front with the costs so no nasty surprise bill at the end! Darren even remembered that I had said I was in meetings from 10-1530 so wouldn’t be able to pick the car up until later in the day, and phoned before 10 to check it was ok to do the repairs! As usual, excellent service from the team! Thanks everyone

Booked my 1990 Elan for mot , This highlighted some issues which resulted in a failure, due to brakes& emissions not meeting the required standard, After the necessary repairs completed , & retest the car passed.
The brakes feel much more effective & the engine runs much more efficiently.

I can't recommend Tackwood MOT and Service Centre enough. Getting an estimate was quick and easy and the booking process was completely hassle-free. Great communication on the day of the work and the final price matched the estimate perfectly. Absolute pros, easily the best garage I’ve used. Highly recommended!
