When we were run into on a roundabout on 16 Sep, we weren't quite sure what number to ring. We rang Howdens and Sue dealt with us very efficiently. We were passed on to Kindertons who arranged for our car to be collected for assessment and they delivered a hire car for us to use. Although the damage to our car was not that severe, it was decided to write it off and we then got offered a price for it. We disputed this as we had seen what cars of the same make, same age and mileage would cost as a replacement. As a result we were offered £22.88 more. However we have not received this small extra sum although we have received the first amount that we were offered. We ordered a new car and were told it would take 2 weeks to become available. We collected the new car and Kindertons collected the hire car from us. The whole process worked well but was quite drawn out. The day after we got the new car it was scraped in a car park while my wife was in the supermarket shopping. We reported this and Sue at Howdens dealt with this very efficiently. We were told that Auxillis were now the firm who would deal with us. They told us that Steer Prestige of Westbury would carry out the repair. Steer Prestige have collected the car and Auxillis have provided us with a hire car for the week that the repair is estimated to take. We have had to deal with both Auxillis and Steer Prestige this time; previously Kindertons was the only agency we had to deal with.
