I started using Howdens Chelmsford for commercial purposes because I wanted someone more knowledgeable than me to go through the technical requirements and price options to make sure I am fully covered. I have probably been using them for 4 years now. I like the fact that I can go talk 1-1 to a real person if I want to. I have also used Howdens for some private / domestic purposes where the requirements are a bit challenging for the same reason. Compared to an online service, I find the little extra I might be paying good value for the peace of mind it gives me.

You get talking to a real person (not automated or online) , who takes onboard your individual needs. And you get to deal with the same person, not different personnel every time you ring.
