We had a wonderful day at Acton Scott farm!My 2 granddaughters loved seeing Edward the shire horse and as we all gathered around to see him being tacked up, he ‘passed’ an enormous amount of wind which ALL the children and adults enjoyed enormously! We managed to get Dulcie the HUGE pig to come out of her sty by throwing her a large apple. She was amazing and very funny. Wonderful also to be able to tell the grandchildren that all the farming equipment that we saw would have been used by their great, great poppa a few miles down the road in Tenbury Wells. Nice lunch- cafe a bit overwhelmed. Great day.

A lovely heritage farm with pleasant and friendly staff. The staff provided excellent knowledge surrounding the site and its heritage. There are activities throughout the site and staff on hand for support.

Nice visit with the family while staying nearby. Friendly staff. Lovely to see the old farm, machinery etc. a few activities on for the younger kids. Probably stayed just over an hour. Maybe a little pricey for what you got.

I was working in Welshpool for the week. I had a 25 minute commute each day. It was an easy drive through the countryside. Upon returning back to the pod, it’s just what I needed.

It’s cosy, in idyllic surroundings and very peaceful. It’s well equipped with a kitchen, power shower and central heating. The mattress is very comfortable. The duvet is a winter duck & goose feather down tog. Hollow fibre pillows, bedside reading lamps.

There’s a washing machine to clean your uniform and personal clothing. A clothes line on the decking area. A clothes horse wad also provided for me. The view is spectacular and I love the anonymity of the location.

My only real gripe was the internet speed and no smart tv. The buffering speed is very slow if you try and stream on your laptop. It’s impossible to do so. You have to watch the t.v in realtime. If you’re on holiday then this may be of little importance.

However I’m with the public nine hours a day for six days a week. I really needed to unwind and kick back. So I listened to music instead. I had my portable Bose speaker and played it at a desired volume without disturbing anyone 😃.
