I decided to use an insurance broker (Howden) for the first time a couple of years ago for car insurance, as my circumstances were a little unusual, and did not fit with the usual questions asked on comparison websites. I was pleasantly surprised with the level of cover and quotations they could offer, and with the helpful nature of their staff. Due to my experience, I now use them to source other insurance policies.
