Howden came up as a company to quote and rang me within minutes. Easy and quick to go through quote with them. My contact was Alfie White. Great to talk with and friendly.
Only had wagon a couple of weeks so haven’t needed to claim (yet!)

I have a share in a glider and the insurer we used retired and the account was switched to Howdens.
Howdens then notified me that they also covered motor insurance, as my policy was due for renewal in the New Year I obtained a quote which was at a better price than my current insurer for the same level of cover.
They are easy to contact by phone, you get directly through to a person, without having to deal with a "Bot", as is so common these days.

Using Howden for the 2nd year running for my modified van. I was going to go elsewhere initially, but Michael Kellers was really pleasant throughout and managed to get my insurance premium discounted, which convinced me to not bother even looking elsewhere and renew with Howden for another year. We had to use a broker given values of certain items not insurable by comparison site insurers. Simon Smith a manager with Howden used his experience and skill to obtain cover and that indeed less expensive that quotes elsewhere. A very professional and customer focused gentleman. We would have no hesitation in recommending Simon and his company and have asked him to have Howden contact us at the appropriate time for our travel and motor insurance renewal. Thankfully seems the age of personal service in insurance world is with Howden and Simon Smith still alive!
