Having previously used their predecessor, Gade Insurance, I found Howden unnecessarily complicated. Gade sent a reminder (car insurance) with a recommendation then we phoned, accepted & paid, they sent the insurance details. Howden email a great deal of bumph which takes time to sort. Finding the letter at the end with their recommendation I rang them. There wasn’t “anyone to take my call” though I was still taken through all the details of car & drivers etc. I said I would ring back which I did but once again had to go through all the information they already had. It was very frustrating. At the end the quote was less than in their letter - fine but confusing. I’m not sure I want to go through that every time so may look for another broker who makes it easier as Gade Insurance did - such a shame they sold up!

Happy to be in touch, though your Feedback request letter had me confused, thanks to the several company names therein, none of which I recognised, since my longstanding broker is not mentioned by its established name therein! I eventually found the customer-provider relationship I could understand on the envelope and was able to construe that the Feedback request, the Renewal Invitations and the interlinked companies which now provide my historic-vehicle cover are the new "front of house" for the policy I sought from my usual and valued broker. An illustration of the companies' linkage would have been helpful. On the bright side, I'm pleased that the cost of my insurance has not increased. Thank you.
