Shrewsbury is set to host a celebration of tennis this summer, as the Tennis Shropshire County Championships return to the heart of town! For the first time in many years, the prestigious tournament will be jointly held at Town Walls Tennis Club and Shrewsbury Lawn Tennis Club, two of the most historic and picturesque tennis venues in the region.

Running from 24th to 30th August 2025, the Championships welcome players of all ages from across Shropshire to compete in a week of exciting singles and doubles matches. Whether you're a junior picking up a racket for the first time or a seasoned player aiming for glory, this is the highlight of the local tennis calendar.

Spectators are encouraged to come along and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere, with refreshments available on-site throughout the week. With both clubs nestled beneath Shrewsbury’s iconic skyline, visitors can soak up the action in truly stunning surroundings.

Organised by Tennis Shropshire, this year’s event celebrates community spirit, competitive play, and the long-standing traditions of tennis in the county.
