Book lovers are in for a treat this October as Severn Hospice hosts its first ever Big Book Fair, a brand-new community event bringing together books, music and support for local hospice care.
Taking place at Refresh at Severn Hospice in Bicton on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th October, from 10am until 4pm, the event will feature a huge selection of affordable pre-loved books, vinyl records and other media.
Whether you're searching for your next great read, looking for books to inspire younger readers or hoping to add a new favourite to your record collection, there will be something for everyone.
Stock will be organised into easy-to-browse sections, including:
Families are warmly welcomed throughout the weekend, with a dedicated children's area and special storytime sessions hosted by John Britton. Four-legged family members don't have to miss out either, as dogs are welcome at the event.
The Refresh at Severn Hospice café will also be open for takeaway drinks and light refreshments, giving visitors the perfect opportunity to take a break between browsing.
Best of all, every purchase made at the Big Book Fair will help fund the specialist care and support provided by Severn Hospice to local families living with incurable illness. By picking up a book or record, visitors will be helping the hospice continue providing its vital services free of charge to those who need them.
