Nestled within the ancient castle walls and Castle Gardens, this festival has become a highlight of the spring calendar in the Marches region and offers something for visitors of all ages.
At the heart of the Spring Festival is the giant Festival Pub, serving a wide selection of cask and craft beers, ciders, perries, wines and soft drinks. For 2026 the event is hosting the Society of Independent Brewers and Associates (SIBA) Midlands Region INDIE BEER AWARDS, showcasing the best independent beers from across the UK. Festival-goers can sample award-worthy ales and discover new favourites in a lively atmosphere with live music.
Throughout the weekend there’s a varied programme of live music, with local bands and performers bringing everything from folk and rock to upbeat festival vibes. In addition, a schedule of talks and tastings gives visitors the chance to meet producers, learn about craft brewing and food, and enjoy engaging demonstrations.
Alongside the food and drink, the Marches Transport Festival features over 100 classic and vintage vehicles in a spectacular display. From pre-war heritage cars to beloved classics, this part of the event draws motoring enthusiasts and families alike to wander and admire the collection.
The Spring Festival is designed to be a family-friendly day out. Children’s activities, hands-on crafts, circus performers and festival fun keep younger visitors entertained while adults enjoy sampling regional produce, chatting with vendors, and soaking up the festival atmosphere. Dogs are also welcome in the outdoor spaces.
