Shrewsbury Male Voice Choir and Shrewsbury Concert Band come together for a special afternoon concert in support of the Lingen Davies Cancer Support Sunflower Appeal.
The programme will feature a varied selection of music, ranging from classical pieces to more modern favourites, performed by two popular Shrewsbury ensembles.
The concert will help raise funds for the Sunflower Appeal, Lingen Davies Cancer Support's biggest appeal to date. The charity aims to raise £5million towards the creation of a new Lingen Davies Cancer Centre at Princess Royal Hospital in Telford, planned for 2029.
The new centre will provide additional cancer services alongside those already available at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. No existing services will move from RSH to PRH. Currently, 37% of patients accessing care at the Lingen Davies Cancer Care Centre have a TF postcode.
